Hemato-Oncology and BMT

The medical specialty of hematooncology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of blood malignancies as well as other blood-related conditions. These include various forms of anemia, other uncommon illnesses, and blood malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. The following blood diseases in adult and pediatric patients are our specialty.

Hematology

The medical specialty of hematology is devoted to the study of blood, blood-forming organs (such as bone marrow), and diseases and disorders that affect the blood.

Hemato-Oncologist

A hematologist-oncologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of blood cancers, sometimes referred to as hematological cancers. These malignancies start in blood-forming tissues such bone marrow, lymph nodes, and blood cells. Treatment for different blood malignancies, such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes, is the specialty of hemato-oncologists.
