Arteriovenous Malformation

An Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) of the brain is a vascular anomaly characterised by an abnormal tangle of blood vessels in the brain. AVMs can occur anywhere in the brain and can vary in size and complexity. They are typically present from birth but may not cause symptoms until later in life.
