Serology tests

C-reactive protein (CRP) test

The C-reactive protein (CRP) test is a blood test that measures the amount of inflammation present in your body. This test helps to determine the severity of inflammation and whether or not the treatment is effective. It's important to note that the test does not reveal the location of the inflammation in your body.

Antistreptolysin O (ASO) titer test

A blood test called the Antistreptolysin O (ASO) titer is used to assess antibodies against the substance that group A streptococcus bacteria generate, streptolysin O. Our bodies create antibodies—proteins—when they identify dangerous things like germs.

RA test

The Rheumatoid Arthritis test, or RA test, is a vital diagnostic and treatment tool for rheumatoid arthritis, an inflammatory disease that mostly affects the joints.

Widal test

The Widal test is a common blood test that detects antibodies against the Salmonella bacteria responsible for causing typhoid fever. The test looks for both O and H antibodies in a patient's serum.

Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) Test

The VDRL test is a screening blood test for sexually transmitted infection, called syphilis caused by the spirochete bacterium Treponema pallidum.

Pregnancy test

A pregnancy test estimates the presence of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG or hCG) in the body. This hormone is made in the body during pregnancy and can be spot in the urine and blood of pregnant women as early as ten days after the conception.
